Join us April 3 and 4 for the ELI Online Spring Focus Session 2013, "Learning and the Massive Open Online Course," where we will engage the teaching and learning community in exploring this new online course model. Tour institutional examples of MOOCs, various instructional designs and delivery models, processes, methodologies for setting up and evaluating the model, and implications for teaching and learning.

Conversion Labs: Helping You Migrate Courses from ANGEL to Desire2Learn

 

D2L Conversion Labs will be held around campus to provide instructors with a hands-on course conversion experience to facilitate smoother transitions to Desire2Learn (D2L). Conversion labs are held through MSU IT Services and co-sponsored by the Office of Faculty and Organizational Development.

Join us on campus at this year's expanded program online at the ELI 2012 Annual Meeting February 13 - 15 hosted on MSU campus at Wills house! This event is free of charge! Come network and share ideas. The 2012 Annual Meeting will explore a rich matrix of themes that capture the key opportunities and challenges facing the teaching and learning community. Just within the space of the past year, open educational content and the ubiquity of even smarter mobile devices have shifted the teaching and learning landscape and the way we think about what constitutes learning environments. By now you have probably heard the recent news of YouTube launching its newest tool for teachers, “YouTube for Schools”. Working with teachers, YouTube has put together more than 300 playlists for education, broken out by subject and grade level.
